The Best International Restaurants and Cuisine in Palma for 2024
Palma is one of the top cities in the world to take advantage of dining out on international cuisine.
There are so many restaurants here whose menus deliver on the best versions of their unique cuisine - and it just keeps getting better! Plus, it can be a nice diversion from Spanish-inspired Mediterranean food, every once in a while.
Sharing a little bit of everything is what I always suggest as the best way to dine, to enjoy as many dishes off the menu as possible. I would book dinner reservations pretty far in advance for everywhere you want to go, places book up quickly, and some have more limited seating. Lunch reservations are also recommended, if there is anywhere you are especially keen to try.

The location is a bit more out of the way, but if you are craving Japanese cuisine, I would go here. The bonus being that they also have robata coal grill items, which is a nice addition to the mix along with sushi, salads and starters.
What to order: grilled skewers are a must here, tempura, nigiri and rolls, the baos are nice too

If you happen to be near the Santa Catalina Mercat, and are craving sushi. Arume Sushi Bar is a fresh lunch experience,
You can also dine at their other properties, each under the direction of chef Tomeu Marti: Arume Sake Bar in Santa Catalina, and Arume Tomeu Marti North of Central Palma.

Central Palma; Located in the Can Bordoy Hotel
Lunch & Dinner; open every day

Restaurant Botànic has more vegetable forward options. Sit outside on the veranda if it’s balmy weather. But the multiple rooms indoor all have their own lovely aestheic. Food is fanciful, clever and tasty, although the portions are on the smaller side for certain dishes. There are some seafood and meat dishes or dish add-ons, but the basis of the menu is plants. The cocktails here are good too.
What to order: cocktails, cauliflower tabouleh salad, leeks, beetroot, the kurries

Santa Catalina

🌞🌛🇪🇸🌍🍴🍷
The Spot Mallorca space in Santa Catalina is nicely designed (same group as Barcelona’s Bar Lobo and Green Spot). The food is good, but I will also say that it can be inconsistent. They have a very reasonably priced (around €20) 3-course weekly lunch menu that includes a drink - so it is definitely worth checking out for lunch. They also have an a la carte menu for lunch, and of course an la carte menu for dinner.
What to order: come for the €20 3-course set lunch menu, otherwise get the crispy cauliflower (almost worth a double order, this is a favourite), lamb kefta, pulled pork tacos, and banoffee pie for dessert; What else to consider: the croquettes, edamame, and Bluefin Tuna tartar

Opened in mid-2023, DADALÌA has a a Spanish feel and Italian owners and staff. Expect pizzas and pastas, as well as snacks and desserts. They also have a daily fresh sheet, but everything here tastes super fresh.
What to order: your fave pizza toppings, the deep fried cheese, something off the fresh sheet

Brutus is a newer Italian trattoria with brutalist architecture; which is a different for Palma. They also have a nice courtyard. Antipasti, pizza, pasta, meat, fish, and dolce - they have it all.

Santa Catalina
Lunch & Dinners; open every day
🌞🌛🇮🇹🥗🍕🍝🍴🍷
Rikito has pasta, pizza, and starters - the food here is good, and generally solid. What is neat about it is the location, nestled within the car-free street of Carrer de la Fabrica in Santa Catalina (along with many other restaurant and bar patios). It is perfect for al fresco dining and people watching. Their interior is cute as well, colourful with playful antique wall art and decor.
What to order: burrata, check out the weekly specials, their raviolis

L’Informal Tacos

*top pick for casual tacos

East of Old Town Palma
Lunch & Dinner; closed Sundays
🌞🌛🇲🇽🌮🍴🌵🍹
L’Informal Tacos is my top pick for casual tacos in Palma. A cozy space, the 10 choices for tacos here are a bit more on the modern side, and include baja tempura fish, crispy chicken, and beef brisket. The guacamole is great, and if you love cheese, get the Classic Melted Cheese Casserole, which is basically the best queso you will have. The tortilla chips and margaritas are both excellent.

There isn’t much African cuisine in Mallorca, so Beldi is a welcome addition to Palma’s food scene. They serve vegetarian Moroccan tapas, breads & tea, along with natural wines & cocktails.
