Lucky for Palma, there are often new and incredible restaurants and places opening within the capital of Mallorca. The careful considerations and authenticity that went into these establishments is also so wonderfully obvious, which makes them even more special.
Below are our recommendations for the best of Palma’s new and noteworthy places to visit, each with their own beautifully thoughtful design, branding and offerings. Lucky, indeed 🍀💚

Terreno Club features a market fresh, internationally inclined, menu, with breakfast and lunch served every day from 9:30am - 4pm, a weekend brunch, and drinks and select dishes available after 4pm. Sit within their sublimely designed indoor space or outside on their cheerful yellow-umbrella patio; either way, it’s an absolute pleasure. And it will only get better once their pool and padel courts are open.
Terreno Club is in the El Terreno neighbourhood, an up and coming area just west of Santa Catalina. If you wander this way, check out Can Pa bakery for sourdough or small luxurious desserts, Bar Bellver for all- day snacks and beer + wine, Mercat 1930 for a more upscale market set up, and Italian trattoria and brutalist design dream Brutus.

Santa Catalina’s newest Japanese spot, Marui Sushi Bar, does not disappoint. Set in a warm and inviting room, the menu delights with authentic, super fresh quality seafood (gorgeous nigiris, temaki tacos, tartars and rolls) and select meat (their beef tataki!) dishes that are beautifully presented..

Border between Old Town and Santa Catalina

L’Àtic is the newly reopened restaurant on the 7th floor of the Hotel Saratoga. The innovative menu from Calvia-born chef Juan Pinel includes a mix of globally inspired dishes within the bites and starters sections, and more classically leaning Mediterranean mains, and ends with three lovely desserts. The setting is romantic, and the views are pretty spectacular too.
For the level of detail to both the menu and it’s presentation, the cost of dining here feels like an incredible value. You can dine a-la-carte for lunch and dinner, and they also offer a 6-course lunch menu for €38, and an 8-course Mediterranean dinner menu for €62.

Casa Patines originally opened in 1984, and it is celebrating a new revival in the hands of Grupo Échale Sal. The space is lovingly restored, with whimsical line art on the walls, lovely furniture, it is elegant yet classic.
The food is a nod to traditional Spanish cuisine, and presented beautifully. They have a weekly three-course lunch menu for under €16. Or, you can just stop by for coffee or beer. Whatever you fancy, they are open all day.
At Casa Patines, you will feel like you’ve stepped into a contemporary piece of Palma’s legacy.

You might be familiar with Federal Café if you’ve travelled to Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Girona, Murcia, or Sitges - and now, you can visit them in Palma.
Open all day, every day, you can fulfill many cravings here. Federal offers an extensive breakfast and brunch menu, from pancakes and eggs to morning burgers; and a late day menu ranging from snacks to salads, sandwiches, burgers, flatbreads, rice dishes and more.

MAGÍ just opened in August 2024 (in the space previously occupied by Soleil Brunch & Bar), and the feel-good space is large and bright with lots of seating and windows (plus, cute window bench seating).
A small, but perfect menu that’s divided into Salty or Sweet. Expect fresh toasts, egg dishes, bowls, nice croissants (including a double croissant sandwich), excellent matcha drinks, specialty coffees, and fresh juices.

Wunder Workshop established themselves in 2014 in the UK, but their lovely Mallorca shop just opened in June of 2024. With a focus on Consumption With Purpose®, they offer a curation of plant-based potions, earth conscious creations, ceremonial goods and regenerative remedies.
Wunder also has a small café, with coffees, teas, and various fresh and bottled mylk drinks. You will also find sustainable gifts, luxury products, natural beauty, skincare, and nourishing goodness created in-house and by other aligned brands. Look forward to a series of Community Days and Herbal Workshops.

Friendly service, excellent coffee and matcha, healthy smoothies, and super tasty breakfast, brunch and lunch options from around the world is what Nala Brunch & Coffee brings to Palma.
Think bacon & eggs, croque monsieur, avocado or salmon toast, healthy bowls, sandwiches, and more. Plus, you can sit in a lovely garden terrace to enjoy it all.
As a side note, it’s nice to see some new spots opening up in the North of Old Town as well.

Another wonderful addition to the brunch scene is Orígenes Café. Everything feels vibrant here, from the colourful plating of toasts, pancakes, bowls and egg dishes, to the lush matchas and specialty coffees. They offer a really excellent selection of baked goods, that pair very nicely with coffee as well.

Montys Café brings a bit of Germany to the Palma brunch scene. You will find the more usual brunch dishes like classic bowls, toasts and pancakes here, but also waffles and bagels, cakes, and a German Tower (for 2) with a bit of everything.
Bonus is that their all their cakes, some of the bread , and even their granola, are gluten free.

Pesca d'Oli's founders, Oli and Julie, have been in the restaurant industry for 20 years, and have brought a blend of traditional British flavors with a Mediterranean touch to Palma.
With a homemade feel, and the freshest of ingredients, pop in to try one of their four light and crispy takes on classic fish & chips (including a tofu version), or their ceviche, shrimp tartar, crispy prawns, fish burgers, and salad options.

The second location for CREMOLA Heladeria is in Plaça Major, the heart of Old Town Palma (the first is in Santa Catalina, and used to be elàelà, which also served gelato).
What stands out about their gelato, is their high standards for the ingredients they use, like specifically sourcing Bronte pistachios (which really make their pistachio gelato taste rich and delicious). With rotating seasonal flavours and vegan options, there is a flavour (or three) for everyone.

This is the second location for Santa Chiara Pizzeria (the first is in Nord Palma), and it’s a welcome addition to the Plaça de Raimando Clar, which continues to evolve nicely as a restaurant destination.
Expect wood fired pizzas and classic Italian pastas. They also have a weekly three course lunch menu for less than €20, which is a really excellent value.

Little Jarana started as a pop-up restaurant in Deià and chef JJ. Abraham Artigas has now opened his long-awaited Palma location. The new location is tucked a little bit off the beaten path in Palma, just up from Santa Catalina.
It’s a warm, intimate and inviting atmosphere (kids are also welcome). The menu is super local, fresh and creative, and changes weekly. Sit at the bar for the ultimate chef experience.
